Ginger

Bittersweet and spicy ginger can actually save your pup’s tummy! What’s better is that there’s almost instant relief for vomiting in dogs. It works just the same for humans. For us, we can chomp into it and consume it. Your pup won’t like you very much for offering it straight to them so you’re gonna need to be creative! Serve it on white bread. Use pumpkin (not for pumpkin pie) as the spread and sprinkle the ginger powder on it. Pumpkin has a very soothing effect on the digestive systems of dogs. It greatly alleviates vomiting in dogs.

Fast Your Dog

This is one of the best ways to give your pup’s digestive system time to recover and reset. Once you’ve noticed your dog vomiting enough to alert you, do not feed him for 12 hours, if you have a puppy. For older dogs, make them wait 24 hours before they’re fed. They’re going to be hungry and maybe give you the signs that they want some food. Be strong and don’t feed them. Let their systems rest.

Electrolytes

Remember we said that some of these home remedies for dog vomiting would surprise you? Did you think you could serve your dog Gatorade or other drinks we consume to ramp up our electrolytes? Mix half of the drink with water and put it in your dog’s help the body replenish quickly and restore to its natural state. However, your dog may have trouble keeping down Gatorade or other sports drinks. If this is the case, you may want to try freezing the beverage first in ice cube trays. Once frozen, allow your dog to lick the cubes.
