Our History

Our doors have been open for business since 1984. For the duration, we have been proudly serving the people and pets of Sarasota County. We also serve in Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch, providing high quality veterinary services in all locations in a compassionate manner. Dr. Dave Smith purchased Sarasota Veterinary Center in 2006. He quickly integrated his philosophy of practicing preventative medicine with a strong emphasis on outstanding customer service.

• We provide a relaxing environment for all pets.
• We are able to see and groom all breeds of dogs.
• Cats aren’t exempt! We clean and trim them as well.
• We see and accept all cases, including those in need of shave downs.
• We clip your pet’s paws with sanitized clippers.
• Need dematting? We’ve got you covered! We’ll do everything in our power to make the process as pain-free and comfortable, as possible.

Our Dog Boarding Services

You will need a place that puts your mind at ease. Once again, we’ve got you covered! We give each of our furry residents extra special TLC. We guarantee at least 4 walks outside each day, with individual play time at absolutely no extra charge. Because we are not a large facility, it is more common for us to take your pet outside 5 or even 6 times a day. Even on a busy holiday weekend we still promise at least 4 individual walks with plenty of attention on the grassy area next to the small pond behind our clinic.
